Tour of Marrakech by horse-drawn carriage: Gardens and ramparts

Marrakech City Breaks offers you a tour of Marrakech in horse drawn carriage of the  gardens and ramparts of Marrakech that surround the Medina from almost 19 kilometers with a height of 6 to 8 meters and we can see nearly 200 square towers and about twenty doors, all richly decorated. These ramparts played an important role in protecting the Medina from foreign armies in the 15th century. It is difficult not to see them!!The guided tour of Marrakech by horse-drawn carriage begins with Les jardins de la Ménara, planted with olive trees, the park extends over approximately 90 hectares enclosed in a pisé enclosure and has in its centre a huge 12th century basin, the first to be equipped with a system of pipes and water supply. At the water’s edge, a graceful Saadian pavilion, remodelled in the last century, takes on magnificent golden hues at nightfall, followed by the Tour des remparts, a 19 km long enclosure flanked by 202 towers, passing through the Agdal gardens located south of Marrakech, facing the snow-covered peaks of the Atlas. The visit ends with Les Jardins Majorelle, an enchanting place populated by bougainvilleas, coconut palms, banana trees, bamboos and palm trees, created in the 1920s by the French painter Jacques Majorelle, we will pick you up in a comfortable horse-drawn carriage at an attractive and interesting price.
